Licence and terms of use

1. Provider and scope

The provider of the AI Lab Method (the “Platform”) is Martin Breitsprecher, Neue Große Bergstraße 3, 22767 Hamburg, Germany (the “Provider”). These terms govern the purchase and use of licences to the Platform. The offering is directed exclusively at businesses within the meaning of section 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB), not at consumers. The printed book is sold separately through the book trade or print-on-demand and is not covered by these terms.

2. Subject matter

The Platform is a standardised digital product. It provides the same content to all licensees: the book in the reader, presentations, tools, self-assessments, scoring aids and the method-related assistant. The scope of the licence is identical across all tiers; the tiers differ in the number of seats and the term, not in functionality.

3. Not a substitute for individual consulting

The Platform conveys a standardised method, content and tools for use within the licensee’s own company. It does not replace individual consulting. The licence in particular does not include the individual analysis of an organisation, individual strategy or roadmap work, individual governance or compliance assessment (for example under the EU AI Act), individual tool or vendor recommendations, or project support or implementation. Such services are not part of the licence and are, if desired, commissioned separately under their own contract.

4. Licence and permitted use

For the term, the Provider grants the licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable right to use the Platform for internal use within the licensee’s own company. For team and company licences, use is limited to the agreed number of named individuals within the licensee. Access credentials are personal and must not be passed on to third parties.

5. Prohibited use

In particular, use of the Platform by consulting, agency, training or other service providers to develop, market or deliver their own services to third parties is not permitted. Likewise prohibited are the disclosure, reproduction, making publicly available or resale of the content and tools outside the licensee’s own company. Any deviating use requires a separate written agreement with the Provider.

6. Prices, VAT and payment

All prices are exclusive of statutory VAT. Every licence comes with an invoice issued to the licensee’s company. Payment is processed through the payment service provider Stripe; the data required for this is processed there.

7. Term and cancellation

Depending on the tier chosen, the licence runs for one month or twelve months from provision. It does not renew automatically. After it expires, access ends unless a new licence is purchased. The right to extraordinary termination for good cause remains unaffected.

8. Availability and changes

The Provider endeavours to make the Platform available with high availability but does not owe uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, further development and content updates are part of the product; the Provider may update content and tools as long as the contractually promised benefit is preserved.

9. Copyright

All content, tools and materials of the Platform are protected by copyright. The licensee receives only the usage rights described in section 4. Any use beyond this is not permitted without the Provider’s prior written consent.

10. Liability

The Provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence, the Provider is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for such contracts. The content and tools are provided for the licensee’s own responsible application; the Provider accepts no liability for decisions the licensee makes on their basis.

11. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. If the licensee is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Hamburg. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
